Things that appear when I look up "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes poster"

'Bizarre tastes' makes it sound like Sherlock Holmes can, and in fact is, covering up anything from his wild taste in men to his dislike for cilantro. This makes it a good tagline. My friend told me this poster gets points off for mistakenly making it look like Holmes is into women. The movie also gets points off for that.

"Whoever designed this poster understood that Sherlock Holmes’s private life revolves around Watson being in his ass" - person on tumblr. I do think Holmes looks slightly AI generated in this poster. It's unsettling.

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT SHERLOCK HOLMES HAS MADE A GREAT MOTION PICTURE is my favorite The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes tagline. Ever ever ever. I also like the little 'anything but elementary', although the font of that one makes me think of cheesy rom-coms. I guess Sherlock Holmes could be a cheesy rom-com.

There is a full, intimidating paragraph of writing on Holmes' back. Whoever wrote this paragraph was also allergic to using question marks, but let's call it artistic license. 'And what about the woman who spent the night with him.' <- Reread that sentence, but try emphasizing a different word each time. And what about the woman who spent the night with him? And what about the woman who spent the night with him?

I think this is just objectively not a good image to represent the movie. It doesn't even have a fun tagline to redeem it...just a vague image of people dancing...

This is also not a good image to represent the movie but it's a much funnier one. Holmes in a bath absolutely should've been the iconic scene to come out of this movie. Low quality, but you can buy a poster version for $10! Exciting stuff.
